Rebuilt after devastating fire, custom manufacturer opens new 240,000 square foot facility focused on growth and innovation
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL (May 20, 2025) – Morgan Li, a custom manufacturer offering innovative fixtures, furniture, and graphics solutions, celebrated today the official grand opening of its new, 240,000 square foot Class A facility in Chicago Heights. The new construction, located at 1001 Washington Ave. in Chicago Heights, represents Morgan Li’s dedication to quality, innovation and sustainability in the changing retail landscape. The rebuild supports the expansion and growth of its 235+ employees while enhancing local manufacturing and industrial innovation.
On February 6, 2023, Morgan Li lost its warehouse in a tragic fire. While the cause of the fire remains unknown, thankfully, no employees were harmed. In the immediate aftermath, the Morgan Li team pivoted production to alternate facilities to avoid disruption to customers, and started the process of rebuilding.
The new facility was designed with innovation and efficiency at the forefront, incorporating advanced technology, equipment, and systems. Key features include energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the facility and advanced recycling systems for metal and cardboard waste. The facility also boasts more than 20 loading docks, as well as an additional 40,000 square foot structure housing a new dedicated paint line for finished products and refurbishment, reducing environmental impact and improving product lifecycle management.

This new construction is poised and ready to revolutionize Morgan Li’s operations by consolidating all distribution and warehousing under one roof, positioning the company for continued growth in the dynamic retail and commercial environments.
