New Balance

At New Balance, fit is everything. With shoes tailored to suit every wearer from lawn mowing dad to marathon runner, this retailer has a passionate following and a passion for helping others thrive. About the Project:

Project Location: 37606 W 12 Mile Rd Farmington Hills, MI 48331

From their 3D foot scanner built to connect shoppers with the perfect shoe to an expert staff trained to help, the right fit is part of the way these footwear experts work. But when they wanted to transform their retail space in Farmington Hills, Michigan, they needed a partner whose commitment to perfection matched their own.

That’s where Morgan Li came in.

The Challenge: Create a Space to Show Off the Perfect Fit

Since the beginning of the pandemic, New Balance has made significant strides to modernize operations, bridge the physical gap, and innovate both online and in-store operations. From the company’s first digital flagship opened in 2020 to an operations update a few months later, the company has worked hard to add value to transactions and better connect with customers.

But following this innovation in process, the company also wanted to start updating its 130 storefronts to match. Focused on enhancing the way people shop and buy, the Boston-based retailer wanted to create a retail experience able to help them forge ahead.

But to make this happen, they needed a manufacturer with the skills, domestic production capabilities, and expertise to build, deliver and install this experience.

The Answer: Morgan Li Builds Retail Space in New Balance’s Farmington Hills Location

In need of a retail space built to help shoppers ranging from online pickups to custom fittings, New Balance needed a simple space, built well. Enter Morgan Li. Long trusted for its expertise in metal fabrication and success with retailers, New Balance knew Morgan Li from work on a variety of projects.
