Now all that’s left is the world in front of you and the people you share it with. Because getting Away means getting more out of every trip to come. Initially a direct-to-consumer company, Away wanted to make the move to the retail space.
Initially focused on the direct-to-consumer ecommerce world, Away saw an opportunity to connect offline. Not only did the company create a print travel magazine called Here, they were one of the earliest DTC players to move in store. But when they wanted to embark on their clicks-to-bricks journey, they needed a partner who knew how to deliver on their unique vision. That’s when they turned to NEWish Retail and in turn, Morgan Li.
About the Project: Away Seaport
Located at 50 Seaport Blvd in Boston, designers needed this space to welcome curious guests, serve as a physical hub for omnichannel shoppers, and reflect the brand. For design, they knew where to start: NEWish Retail. An agency for brands you should know, NEWish works with emerging brands to chart a course in-store. From strategy to design, the experts know what it takes to transform spaces and where to turn when they need custom fixtures to outfit it.
Morgan Li worked with NEWish and Away to establish the company’s Boston (Seaport) location. These custom displays, fixtures, cashwrap, graphics and more communicate the simple, clean design that Away stores are known for.
